Launching Ceremony of CCNA Course

Prod. Dr. Muhammad Riaz Khan, Dean, Department of Sciences & IT, Qurtuba University Peshawar, highlighted the key features of the offered Program. He advised the students to get theirselves engaged in the course and avail this golden opportunity. Later Dr. Asim Zaib, Asst.Prof, CS started the formal session of the course. The course will be carried out by Dr. Asim Zaib along with Mr. Ihtisham Ud Din.

CISCO Team Visited DI Khan Campus

CISCO Team (Mr. Babar Mukhtar, Program Manger and Mr. Atif Khan, Technical Advisor) visited Qurtuba University DI Khan on October 31st, 2017. During the visit, they met Vice Chancellor's Qurtuba University. They also visited LABs and checked the classes of CCNA. They also met students enrolled in CCNA course. The team appreciated the schedule and efforts of the CCNA instructor.

6th Bi-Annual Meeting of (ORIC) 2017

The 6th Bi-annual meeting of the Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) was held on October 28th, 2017 in the Conference Room at Peshawar Campus.

The following attended the meeting:

 The meeting focused in providing orientation to new students, and need for workshops/ Seminars for the research scholars. Furthermore, calendar of activities for ORIC was brought under discussion and various changes were made in the calendar. Meeting participants also exchanged their views on the suggestions and recommendations for arranging subject Specific Seminars. Following different items were also discussed in the meeting:

ORIC Introduction

By

After receiving the intimation regarding establishment of ORIC, the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization is an integral part of QUSIT. It aims to provide strategic and operational support to the University’s research activities/program, and have a central role in facilitating the University’s research outcomes. ORIC fosters a research environment that promotes the research and consultancy culture and the culture of basic research which allows researcher to engage in a productive research activity.

ORIC is devoted to Bridge the gap between theory and practice by devising frameworks that can determine patterns of private business in informal sector. This can be achieved by three ways.

  1. Creating Academic – Practitioner Interaction Environment.
  2. Promoting Student – Practitioner Interaction Environment.
  3. Marketing and Promotion of Academic Excellence.

ORIC is committed to play a central role in facilitating the University Industry linkages for commercialization of research. It is determined to establish links with donor agencies and Industries. It is dedicated also to serve as channel to process all the Research proposals and Thesis sent to HEC or other agencies. It makes sure to promote the researches relevant to Pakistan socio-economic needs.

ORIC at QUSIT provides guidance to Conduct and participate in conferences, Seminars and training programs for faculty awareness and faculty industry linkages. It also organizes trainings and workshops at national and International level and conducts and coordinates symposiums and seminars at national and International level. It intends to help faculty, staff and students to comply with all ORIC and QUSIT policies and procedures.

ORIC also helps in developing business plans by the students and faculty member to eliminate the chasm in student, faulty n Practitioners interaction and by this achieving the goal to bring theory into practice.
