The office of Registrar strives hard to extend full facilitation and cooperation to the students, faculty members and the employees. The office of Registrar plays a part as a regulator within the University assisting in the interpretation and application of regulations, rules and guidelines


  • To keep in safe custody the common seal of the University and such other University records that the VC may commit to his charge.
  • To keep all academic record of the students, including maintenance of register of Graduates of the University.
  • To maintain and disseminate the University records for furnishing degrees and other University publications.
  • To keep liaison between the officers, authorities, related organizations and employees of the University.
  • Registrar Office is responsible for external correspondence with educational institutions and other bodies of higher learning.
  • To conduct of meetings of all Statutory Committees.

A seminar on Islamic banking was held at Qurtuba University Peshawar campus on 22nd May 2015, in which Mufti Asad Gull, Shariah Officer, Bank of Khyber was guest speaker. The speaker highlighted the positive aspects of Islamic banking and made most of the points in the minds of the audience clear about Islamic banking.

ORIC Workshop

Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) Qurtuba University organized a 2 day workshop titled “Crafting a Postgraduate Research Proposal: Theory and Practice” on 5th – 6th, May 2015, in which Dr. Muhammad Junaid (Assistant Professor, University of Peshawar) was resource person.



Qurtuba University of Science & Information technology Peshawar frequently arranges seminars, workshops, and lectures on different topics.

On 25th August, 2014 Syed Sabih Ibn Saddique, a renowned scholar from University of Madina Munawara (UMM) was invited to deliver his lecture on the topic, “Vision Development and Goal Setting: A Comparison of the Islamic and Western Idea of Success”.

Addressing on the occasion, he emphasized on importance of Character building of the students to make them a useful and responsible citizen. He said education as well as moral training of the students is very significant and teachers must focus on imparting moral values of honesty, patience and truthfulness.

The speaker stressed that our success lies in the four fundamental features to have excellence.

1.      Consistency

2.      Achievement

3.      Meaningfulness

4.      All Inclusiveness

He further highlighted that our goal must be “an Ideal role model”, and that must be based on “perfection and consistency”. This could be achieved by following God Almighty and His Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). He further added that Muslim Ummah could easily solve their problems if they follow the teachings of Quran and Sunnah: both are the sources of high moral principles and excellent values. Finally, he preferred a “Cosmopolitan Outlook” rather “a parochial one”. The lecture was attended by a large number of faculty members and students.

MS Computer Science (4 SEMESTERS)

Eligibility: BS (CS/IT) 4-year or equivalent

 ·       Duration of Study: The MS/M Phil (Computer Science) program curriculum is minimum of 30 credit hours shall normally span two academic years of study, and the maximum period of study is three years. Special permission is acquired in case of any delay. This program comprises four regular semesters each of 4 to 6 months duration. First two semesters are reserved to cover the core and advance level courses in the area of specialization. The last two semesters are allocated to research work, which will include publication of research papers, seminars, and theses write up.
